Our desire to create a home that has a separate suite is responsible for the Casita house concept. Originally designed for a lot in The Hamptons development in Chapel Hill, this plan is yet to be built. The main concept for this plan is to create a one story living home (with 2 rooms on the second floor), with an attached casita, or smaller house, that may serve several purposes: a game room, a bar room, a master bedroom, a second master bedroom, a place for college kids who are home for the summer, a room for aging parents, etc. This can be thought of as afforadable housing, built in an elegant manner.
