Maximizing the Utility

Something that we take care to do in every project is to use all of the space we are given in a functional way. This laundry room was also being used as a mudroom and a home for two dogs, so we customized our design to create what is now a great space for all three functions.
On the laundry side, we added ample storage and a hidden hanging rod over the sink.
To open up the space near the window, we added a bench area with hooks and storage cubbies overhead. This provides a mudroom area and also extra hanging space for laundry.
For the two dogs, we built-in the dog crates under the counter and added a hidden dog-bowl drawer in the toe-kick of the bench. I was excited to be able to use the new wire-mesh product that we found.
Overall, adding function (and a lot of storage) to this laundry room has transformed the space into something that is unique and fills the client’s needs.
